Fast's Roadside Stop

Take a scenic drive and make a roadside stop at Fast's Greenary.  At Harvest time, you can expect to find pumpkins, unique photo opportunities and a small shop with fall favorites.  In this roadside food stop you can be sure to find a variety of items ranging from eggs, to jams and jellies and typically you can find apple cider for purchase.  Only about 30 minutes from the Nashville area, this hidden gem reminds us all what's important inlife and to slow down for a moment and enjoy the countryside!

Natchez Trace Drive

Enjoy one of the most popular scenic drives in the nation along the Natchez Trace Drive that runs through Franklin and through other nearby states and is a total of 444 miles with ample turn-around opportunities if you don't feel like driving the entire distance.  This captivating drive is rich in history from a the early native Americans residing along part of the drive to historical people who stayed just off the Natchez trace.  Along the drive you will see a beautiful bridge with some dark history but today many people take the drive and revel in the architectural design of this one of a kind bridge.  The fall offers a beautiful portrait of color painting along the drive.   If you travel long enough, you will find a number of roadside stops sure to satisfy anyone!

Natchez Trace Road

A local secret is Natchez Trace Road in Williamson County just off of Natchez Trace Drive.  This 4 mile road especially at sunset but anytime is said to be one of the most beautiful breathtaking drives you can ever experience in TN.  This is where the Native Americans mostly resided and now you can find reminders of the past with home and other historical fixtures.  

Highway 31

In Williamson County you can slow down and enjoy a beautiful drive from Franklin to Thompson Station along Highway 31.  Within no time you will see rolling hills and farms that have inspired country musicians over the years.  Once in Thompson you can find ample photo worth opportunities including a hidden gem of an old piece of train that stands still for you to take selfies and sometimes you might find little ones climbing on it for a couple of minutes as it sits on a piece of individual track with places to park right up against it for convenience of getting out to look and take pictures.  Be sure to find this hidden roadside stop while in Thompson Station.

Lynwood Lookout

A short drive from city life, down Franklin Rd, you'll discover a picturesque view different seasons, and in the fall it is painted with color and serene surroundings.  This lesser known gem won't have as many visitors and ample parking.  The most intensified photographic time of day is at sunset.  Grab a seat on the red brick wall for this years Christmas photo and lasting memory.
